Moratorium On Covid Related Evictions Extended To January 1st
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that the State's Tenant Safe Harbor Act will be extended until January 1, 2021.
This extension will further protect residential tenants from getting evicted if they are suffering from financial hardship.
It also extends protections for commercial tenants and mortgagors, giving business owners, retailers, and restaurants more time to get back on their feet.
"We are extending the protections of the Safe Harbor Act through January 1 because we want tenants to have fundamental stability in their lives as we recover from this crisis."
